WHAT IS A PHOTO ESSAY?

A photo essay tells a story through a collection of photographs.

Unlike writing feature articles – when I paint a story with words –

images do the “work” by evoking emotion in a photo essay.

In this form of photojournalism,

I do my work in reverse, letting pictures tell the tale.
