Whether or not the timing of George Floyd’s unfortunate death is mysteriously connected to the pandemic, I must stay I have never seen people from all walks unite like we have seen in the past week and a half, including around the world. People are coming together in the most powerful way.
And while taking my walk yesterday, I saw my Starbucks acquaintance driving his blue pick-up truck. I mentioned him in my May 15 diary entry after our, let’s say, charged yet respectful conversation that morning. I wondered how things might be should I see him again.
The moment we recognized each other, there was no hesitation. First, we waved. Then, we smiled.
