I watched last night’s Republican National Convention. The biggest takeaway – and the most lasting impression -- was the potential super-spreader event when the president accepted the party’s nomination for re-election. About 1,500 guests sat shoulder-to-shoulder, most without masks laughing, whistling, shouting, and sweating on the White House’s South Lawn. No mass testing for Covid-19 was conducted. Already, four people at the Republican convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, tested positive. Many in attendance did not wear masks and did not social distance.

All I can say is, have they no respect for the selflessness and blood, sweat and tears of our medical experts, healthcare professionals and essential workers? How many times can we thank these angels?

We’ll never be able to thank them enough.

Our country can do so much better.

Washing Hands + Wearing a Mask + Social Distancing = Saving Lives
